    Fundación ONCE’s mission is to promote equality and inclusion for people with disabilities and their families, focusing on training, employment, and universal accessibility of products, services, and environments. Established in 1988 by Spain's National Organization of the Blind (ONCE), Fundación ONCE is guided by a board of trustees that includes the Spanish Disability Umbrella Organization (CERMI). It is part of the ONCE Social Group, which owns ILUNION, a social business group dedicated to creating quality employment for people with disabilities. ILUNION operates over 50 business lines and employs approximately 38,000 professionals, 40% of whom have disabilities.

  • Cedris (Netherlands)

    Cedris aims to provide employment opportunities for individuals disadvantaged in the Dutch job market who are unable to earn a minimum wage independently. The organization's goal is to create more paid work for these individuals within the open labor market, either with or without subsidies through supported employment opportunities. If open market options are not accessible, Cedris also supports employment in social firms or sheltered environments.

    Maatwerk is an umbrella organization for customized work companies in Flanders, Belgium. Its members collectively employ around 22,000 people, including 17,500 individuals with disabilities. These companies primarily operate as subcontractors for other businesses, providing client services on-site across various sectors such as food, technology, metal, healthcare, recycling, packaging, and pharmaceuticals. Additionally, Groep Maatwerk offers training and vocational education for individuals with disabilities within these customized work companies.

    Samhall is a Swedish state-owned company tasked with creating employment opportunities that support the development of individuals with disabilities. With over 26,000 employees across Sweden, Samhall provides services including cleaning, laundry, property maintenance, manufacturing, logistics, and care services. By aligning the right person with the right task in competitive client assignments, Samhall generates new work opportunities each year for thousands of people facing barriers to the labor market.

  • ZIPS (Slovenia)
    Alliance of Companies Employing Persons with Disabilities – ZIPS (logo)

    The Alliance of Companies Employing Persons with Disabilities (ZIPS) was formed in July 1991 following the restructuring of the former Association of Companies Employing Persons with Disabilities of Slovenia. ZIPS is a voluntary network of businesses dedicated to promoting employment and training opportunities for individuals with disabilities. It also collectively represents these companies to the government and national authorities.

    The Association of French People with Paralysis (APF), formerly known as "Association des Paralysés de France," is dedicated to advocating for and advancing the rights of individuals with disabilities in France, as well as supporting them in their daily lives. Founded in 1933, the organization operates through over 530 structures across mainland France. APF France Handicap involves around 100,000 people, including 30,000 users, 23,000 members, 14,000 paid employees, and 25,000 volunteers. Its business division, APF Entreprises, includes a broad network of 50 customized and sheltered work companies.

    The Sotek-säätiö sr Foundation provides a range of services including subsidized and supported work, training, rehabilitation, and daily activities for individuals with intellectual disabilities. Its projects and activities aim to assist long-term unemployed, disabled, intellectually disabled individuals, and those at risk of social exclusion. The foundation's goal is to enhance and maintain individuals' work and societal functioning. Sotek’s mission is to offer work opportunities to gain experience, assess work and functional capabilities, adapt to working life, maintain regular habits, boost social skills, and improve self-esteem, work capacity, and overall well-being. Established in 2004, Sotek operates 17 facilities across Southern Kymenlaakso and Eastern Uusimaa regions in Finland, serving over a thousand individual clients annually.

    The mission of the National Federation of Employers of the Disabled (NFRI) is to advance the employment of people with disabilities. The Federation advocates for and represents the interests of its members—Bulgarian SMEs and municipal enterprises across more than 30 business sectors where at least 30% of the workforce consists of disabled individuals. Its primary goal is to support, encourage, and coordinate efforts among its members to enhance working conditions, increase job opportunities for people with disabilities, and promote their integration into society.

  • OSVIT (Croatia)

    OSVIT is a non-profit organization established in Croatia in 2001. It unites sheltered workshops, integrative workshops, centers for vocational rehabilitation, and other entities focused on employing and rehabilitating individuals with disabilities in Croatia. Over the past 20 years, OSVIT has organized 16 international conferences, published numerous works, arranged study visits for its members, and contributed to the development of quality systems for disability employment and vocational rehabilitation at both local and national levels. OSVIT is also a full member of EASPD.

    Alături de Voi România (ADV) Foundation is a non-governmental organization and work integration social enterprise (WISE) founded in February 2002. Its mission is to integrate individuals with disabilities and other vulnerable groups. As one of the largest social enterprises in Romania, it is also among the few grassroots organizations engaged in advocacy to develop a supportive framework for the social economy in Romania, the Republic of Moldova, and Ukraine.

    The Social Cooperative of Limited Liability Diaplous, established in 2004, is one of the pioneering institutionalized social cooperatives in Greece. Diaplous aims to develop business activities that primarily employ individuals with mental health issues, supporting their therapeutic needs. Located in Haidari, Attica, it functions as both a social enterprise and a Mental Health Unit. The cooperative is involved in providing cleaning services, grass clearing, and producing agricultural products, including olive oil, honey, and seasonal horticultural items. Its operations are grounded in principles of solidarity, cooperation, and collective purpose.

The EPR's mission is to enhance its members' capacity to offer sustainable, high-quality services through mutual learning and training. The EPR organizes activities in various fields, including vocational education and training, employment, medical rehabilitation, mental health, independent living, ICT and Assistive Technology, and more.

    The European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD) is a non-profit NGO dedicated to the disability sector, representing the interests of 17,000 social services and their umbrella associations. It supports over three million individuals with disabilities worldwide through work programs and employment opportunities facilitated by its member organizations in more than 40 countries.

  • European Disability Forum

    The European Disability Forum (EDF) is an umbrella organization representing the interests of over 100 million people with disabilities across Europe. As an independent non-governmental organization (NGO), the EDF unites representative groups of individuals with disabilities from throughout Europe and is led by people with disabilities and their families. Founded in 1996 by its member organizations, the EDF works to ensure that European decisions affecting persons with disabilities are made with their involvement. It has established regular advocacy channels with European institutions, including the European Parliament, the European Commission, and the Council of the EU. The EDF envisions a Europe where individuals with disabilities are fully included in society on an equal footing and where their rights, as outlined in the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities, are fully respected, protected, and realized.

    The International Labour Organization’s (ILO) Global Business and Disability Network (GBDN) is an employer-led initiative aimed at advancing the inclusion of people with disabilities in workplaces worldwide. Its membership comprises multinational corporations, national business and disability networks, and international non-profits and organizations representing disabled people. Members of the GBDN set an example by sharing best practices, lessons learned, and exploring innovative policies and approaches. The Network emphasizes the business advantages of hiring people with disabilities and showcases the valuable contributions they make to diverse workplaces. Additionally, the GBDN offers technical advice and facilitates connections with national business and disability initiatives, disabled people’s organizations, and ILO partners and offices.
